Hilton M. Hudson II, M.D., F.A.C.S., is Chief of Cardio-thoracic Surgery at Franciscan Physician’s Hospital and National Ambassador for the American Heart Association. He was inspired into his profession by a story he read on the first African-American heart surgeon, Dr. Daniel William Hale. While Dr. Hudson has treated patients from all walks of life, he takes a certain pride in helping those in minority and under-served communities on their paths back to health, resulting in the performance of over 100 procedures pro bono. To further this end, Dr. Hudson founded Hilton Publishing, Inc., which is dedicated to the producing content on solutions related to health, wellness or education, for men, women, or children in under-served communities.
